Ada Lougee
Ada knows INA KESS literally from the very start and was eversince then a loyal follower and friend of us. We met her first time during a casting in Milan, where she used to work as a model and she immediately agreed to do a shoot with us - eventhough it was still at the very beginning and Isabelle and Katharina literally did the photography themselves :)
Meanwhile she has finished her University with a degree in Economics and Business Administration and lives in New York working as a full-time fashion model.

5 MINUTES WITH ADA
What 3 words best describe you?
Ambitious, loving, adventurous
My beauty secret is…
Face oil, I can not live without it. Right now I am using Kati Burki face oil and it saves my skin!
What did you wanna do with your life at age 5?
I wanted to be a dolphin trainer, when I was younger I was absolutely obsessed with anything to do with the ocean.
The quality I like most in other people is…
I love when people are passionate, I feel like when you meet someone you can immediately tell if they are really fulfilling their life with something they want to be doing or a goal they want to meet. Whether they are passionate about friendship or they are passionate about their career goals, I love when people know what they want and are determined to get exactly that.
Right now I am obsessed with…
I am obsessed with The Politician on Netflix, it is an absolute must watch. Fashion style wise I have recently been super into western style. I love cowgirl boots and fringe.
One thing on my to-do list of life is…
I have a few, one is travel as much as I can. I also want to absolutely love my job everyday that I work. I think it is the most fulfilling when you build something on your own.
What’s your spirit animal?
Hmmm….tough one, while I would like to think a lion.
What’s one thing that you’ll never wear?
For me it’s low rise jeans and a crop top (hahaha), I am a firm believer of being comfortable, fashionable and functional, so that outfit sounds like my worst nightmare.
Best fashion tip you’ve learned from the modelling business?
Never take anything personally. There have been so many times where I go to a casting and really like and get a long with the client and feel great once I leave the casting, to find out I didn’t get optioned for the job. It’s fine if you have those every once in a while but when there are streaks of being told no it starts to get in your head. Taking a step back and saying to myself I am the best I can be is really important.
The most challenging part of being a model is…
I think the most challenging part of modeling is the inconsistency. One month I can be working every other day, always on sets with new people and feel amazing because I am working so much and my look is in demand, but other months I can not work at all. That is definitely the hardest for me.
Post-modelling I would like to…
It truly changes every single day. Right now I am leaning towards the direction of producing. I love the idea of being the backend to create the magic of large sets. I also would love to be an art director. I would also love to own my own business, but that swings way into the future.
What would your first teacher tell about you?
I think she would say I was sweet, a good listener and on the louder side. ;)
What’s your morning beauty ritual?
Every morning I wake up, Take of the left over makeup that seems to stay from the night before (specifically mascara, I can never get all of it off) wash my face and put on moisturizer as well as a drop of oil into my foundation. That gives me a more dewy, natural look. Then I take out my curling wand and curl the ends of hair so they look nice.
What motivates you everyday?
I wake up every morning and think to myself it is a brand new day to make something yours. I am a firm believer that mindset is everything, especially in hard edge cities like New York. I think the fact that I never let the opportunity to explore the modeling industry go over my head. I know a lot of people my age do not get this experience, and would absolutely die at the opportunity to be exposed to designers, producers, casting directors and owners of brands.

What’s your favourite movie?
I am SUCH a sucker for Rom Coms, one movie I could watch on absolute repeat is How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I also love the Devil Wears Prada.
Instagram vs. Pinterest…
Instagram for connecting with others, pinterest for inspo
What are 3 things you can’t live without?
My Ina Kess Sweatpants, my face oil (Kat Burki), and as bad as it sounds, my cell phone. Just to keep in contact with my loved ones.
What’s been your favourite place to go to?
I absolutely fell in love with Rome. The culture, the romance, everything about it was absolutely perfect. I also love Hawaii, for different reasons of course but I love the island lifestyle, it is a nice escape.
What did you love most about the town you grew up in?
The trees. I grew up in a very small town in Shelburne, VT USA where the population is very small and the farmland is grand. Everything about Vermont takes my breath away, especially in the fall.
What’s your favourite food?
Anything Thai is my absolute favorite.
Your favourite place on earth?
One of my favorite places on earth is Malibu. My boyfriend and I got to take a trip there this summer and I absolutely fell in love with the beaches. A few places I have never been to but I think I would never want to leave are Greece, Monaco, and Thailand.
What’s your cure for jetlag?
Sleeeeeep. I am a very good sleeper on planes but there have been some times where sleep is not an option and I get much more jetlagged than I do when I get the chance to sleep.
What’s the most interesting city you’ve been in the last 12 months?
Hmm another hard one, I went to Death Valley for a photoshoot not to long ago and everything was complete desert. There was no phone service and dunes all around us. It was truly one of the most interesting photoshoots I had ever been on.
